- ENTERING RESUME INFORMATION
The best way to enter resume information is to "cut and paste"
the data from a text editor and import it into the data field
on the form. Keep in mind that the resume should display to the
person viewing it in much the same way it displays in the form.
Some browsers may interpret certain characters
differently so be selective with characters other than
letters and numbers. In addition, in modification mode,
some browsers will not interpret new line codes so the text
may appear to be one long stream. It may be difficult to
edit your text in this manner. Try to obtain a newer version
browser and create your resume text in an editor and then import or
"cut and paste" the file in the data field. DO NOT USE HTML CODE
IN THIS FIELD OR ATTEMPT TO LINK TO OTHER SITES. This type of
text will not work when requested in a search.
- PROBLEMS AND ERRORS
IMPORTANT: Some browsers may experience problems in resume
data entry. If you try to "cut and paste" resume text from an
external editor, and your resume does not save (submit) properly, or
if you time out after submitting the text, your browser may not allow
for this method of entering resume data.
Possible solutions:
- Upload a newer version browser. This will help you with other
Web problems and other sites in the future.
- Enter the resume data manually. Although this is time consuming
it should work just fine.
- Enter something brief and to the point. Or, just enter
something to the effect: "E-Mail for further information". The
important thing is to make sure you enter the basic information at
the top of the form including category and summary data (which can
be searched for by prospective employers and agents).
A time-out may also be caused be taking too long before submitting
the information. Try to have all the information ready to enter
before you begin your data entry.
- UPDATING AND MODIFYING RESUME DATA
Upon completion of your resume data entry you will be given the
opportunity to modify or update your resume before it is posted to
the main database. You may go back and edit your existing
resume data by using your e-mail address to access your resume record.
If you wish to go back at a later time (after the data is posted),
you will need to contact Future Access.
- RESUME POSTING PERIOD
Resumes are usually posted for a three month period or until you
request its removal. Resumes can be posted longer for a small fee
by contacting
Future Access
Future Access reserves the right not to post or to remove a resume entry at any
time and for any reason at our discretion.

| Summary/Objective/Keywords |
This is perhaps the most important field for you to fill out
with care. This is normally what will be used as a word or
phrase search by potential employers and recruiters. Your
available space is limited so choose your words, phrases,
and objectives carefully.
Required: Yes
The important thing here is to be brief. Keep in mind that
this is only to interest the perspective employer, recruiter,
or agency using this service. It is a very simple matter for
them to contact you via E-Mail or otherwise if they require
additional information or want to pursue the relationship
further. Experience has shown that verbose resume listings
here can be less beneficial than you might think. So please
limit your responses to around 3,000 characters (approximately
50 lines).
The "Summary" field is perhaps even more important than what
you input here since most searches will look for keywords in
that field.
You may also experience errors caused by too large a resume
file. Keep in mind that the resume should display to the
person viewing it in much the same way it displays here.
However, some browsers may interpret certain characters
differently so be selective with characters other than
letters and numbers. In addition, in modification mode
some browsers will not interpret new line codes so the text
may appear to be one long stream. It may be difficult to
edit your text in this manner. Try to obtain a newer version
browser and create your resume text in an editor and import or
cut and paste the file here. GOOD LUCK.
